The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center Education Department is looking for volunteers to help with our education and public programming. Lead canoe excursions, marsh hikes, and assist with camp and school groups. Volunteers work directly with members of the public to encourage environmental literacy and convey how human activities alter atmospheric, terrestrial, and aquatic ecosystems on a regional and global scale. Short-term (half-day) and long-term positions are available.
