Help generate funding through the sale of donated items, via E-Bay, our on-line gift store, or any other outlet imaginable. The funds will be used to support our Mission: patient care, public education, and research in biotherapy.
Yes, biotherapy is one of the ways in which we manage wound care during this Era of COVID-19 and social distancing. Medicinal animals can provide medical and surgical quality care outside the hospital, allowing patients to get their care outside of the hospital (thereby decreasing their risk of getting COVID) and so and decreasing the need for doctors and nurses to spend time doing non-COVID care that medicinal animals can perform.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Advance healthcare through education and research in biotherapy
The BeTER Foundation is creating the infrastructure needed to support common but non-conventional forms of medical treatment called "biotherapy" or "symbiotic medicine:" Maggot therapy for wound care, Leech therapy to reattach limbs, honey bee sting therapy for a variety of neurologic and rheumatologic ailments, pet therapy for emotional and mental illnesses, and other modalities that use live animals to treat illness. We help patients access affordable treatment, we train and certify therapists, and we help translate research into tangible clinical benefits.
