Children's Home Society of FL, Upscale Thrift Shop is looking for enthusiastic individuals to help pick up furniture donations to provide brighter futures to families and children across Alachua county and North Central Florida.
Almost entirely volunteer run, the thrift store contributes to "Building bridges to successful furtures for children." by providing the essentials for children and families that are overcoming child abuse, neglect, and abandonment, and raising funds for adoption, intervention, and prevention programs and services throughout Mid-Florida.
Furniture Pick-up Drivers are responsible for driving the Upscale Thrift Shop van to pick up donations of furniture, deliver donations of furniture to the shop, assist staff with coordination of donations, assist donors with tax-receipt forms and raise community awareness of the missions of Children's Home Society of Florida and the Family Treasures Thrift Shop. The time schedule can be set and/ or you can be "on call". This is an area where we really need help. If you, or anyone you know would be interested, conatct us today!

Established in 1902, Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) is one of Florida's oldest private not-for-profit organizations providing services to children and families. CHS delivers a unique spectrum of social services designed to protect children at risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment; to strengthen and stabilize families; to help young people break the cycle of abuse and neglect; and to find safe, loving homes for children. Every year, CHS helps to improve the lives of about 100,000 children and family members.
The Mid-Florida Division of Children's Home Society of Florida opened its Ocala office in 1964 and its Gainesville office in 1970. Today, Mid-Florida has 16 offices/locations and 18 counties: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Madison, Marion, Sumter, Suwannee, Taylor and Union. The Mid-Florida divsion offers child absue and neglect prevention, intervention, and adoption services.
