The YMCA will be running our Kids Area in the parking lot between Chipotle and Radio Shack on the Ave. In addition to a stage with performances running throughout the weekend, we will have several booths from various organizations, as well as a variety of kids activities that we need volunteer support to run. These activities include a face painting station, side walk chalk area, and bubbles. We will also have a YMCA table with giveaways/signups that we might need some support with as well. It is guaranteed to be a fun filled weekend!
For Saturday 05/19 event hours are 10:00AM-7:00PM; Sunday 05/20 hour are 10:00-6:00PM. We will need volunteers all day. Please email Nicole at nderr@seattleymca.org to sign up or by following this link: http://signup.com/go/pzXgMgx

Description
The University Family YMCA runs a large variety of programs for area teenagers. We are looking for volunteers to help us in a variety of ways in our after school drop in program which runs daily from 4-6pm or in one of our other various programs.Volunteers would have roles such as tutoring, leading clubs and activities, and just being a positive adult role model in the lives of teens. This is an opportunity for a volunteer to gain some hands on experience with teens. Volunteer will learn how to manage a wide variety of personalities through constant in ratio work. Volunteer will also be in direct contact with school organizations, non-profit organizations and parents gaining a better understanding of all of the key components of youth work. This is a great and fun way to get involved in your community and really make a difference in the lives of teenagers. There is no required time commitment, we just ask that you are able to be consistent in your volunteering, weather that is once a week or once a month
