Norfolk County RSVP Volunteer Program is part of the national Senior Corps, sponsored locally by the Norfolk County Commissioners.

ON HOLD until Spring. The Needham Community Farm provides educational opportunities and grows fresh produce for those in need. Farming Volunteers needed on Thursday afternoons (1:00 - 3:00 pm) and Friday mornings from 9:00 am-12 noon during the growing and harvest season. This is a seasonal and activity that does not require a long-term commitment with flexible scheduling.

The Needham Community Farm is looking for Farming Volunteers and may also need Farm Maintenance Volunteers.

Farming Volunteers will assist with cutting, weeding, planting seedlings, washing, picking and packaging produce. Farm Maintenance Volunteers will assist with mowing, repairing and building new raised beds.

This is a great way to help a local non profit deliver its services to our community.

PLEASE NOTE: This volunteer opportunity is available only to adults age 55 and older.

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
