ThedaCare At Home Hospice is currently seeking volunteers for the therapy dog program in the Waupaca, WI, and surrounding communities. The pet therapy program provides visits by registered therapy dogs and their handlers to Hospice patients for the purpose of love, support, comfort & animal companionship.
Interested volunteers should have excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to communicate with many different people. Dogs must be a minimum of 1 year of age and be calm, gentle, polite & comfortable interacting with unfamiliar people in unfamiliar settings.
