About

Our Cooks and Bakers are an important part of our program providing temporary lodging to families of seriously ill children seeking medical care in Burlington. Cooks and bakers plan a dinner meal or just a dessert, provide their ingredients, and prepare the food in the well-equipped kitchen at the Ronald McDonald House. Cooks under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dinner guidelines

Please call the Ronald McDonald House to schedule a date for your dinner meal.

Dinner should be for 10-15 servings and include at least an entre, a side or salad, and dessert.

Menu suggestions:

Traditional comfort food, including any of the following or your own choice: Baked chicken, ham, meatloaf, beef stew, casseroles with or without meat, macaroni and cheese, pasta, rice or noodle dishes, etc.

Vegetable sides and/or garden, vegetable or fruit salad Cookies, bars, brownies, cakes, pies, quick breads, etc.

Dessert/Baked Goods

Please call the Ronald McDonald House to schedule a date for your dessert. Please provide for about 10 servings.
