Rocky Mountain Communities is an affordable housing non-profit with supportative resident services, and one of our most important programs is helping residents acheive their GED.
We currently need 2 volunteers to work one-on-one with residents who are working on their Math/Science and Language Arts/Social Sciences skills.
You will be helping residents understand the materials they need to know to pass the GED, help with homework assignments, field questions, and being a supportive cheerleader for their efforts.
Our residents are primarily immigrants and refugees and they are wonderful folks. If you can give 3 hours per week to teach, and 3 hours per week to prepare, it will make a huge differece in their lives. Honorarium available for both Math/Science and Language Arts/Social Sciences.
