During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of both COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Inter-Faith Housing Alliance welcomes and appreciates volunteers over the age of 20 to paint a staff member's office, paint and clean an apartment and prepare a welcome basket for a new family entering our transitional housing program. Bring your favorite paint brush and pair of cleaning gloves if you have them; if not, we have some. Please also consider a donation for the Welcome Basket, something a family would need when they move in.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Inter-Faith Housing Alliance's mission is to provide opportunities for families in our diverse community to achieve self-sufficiency by offering community-based programs designed to bridge homelessness and independence.
These programs shall include homelessness prevention, temporary shelter, guidance in life skills and assistance in locating appropriate housing opportunities, thus enabling families at risk to remain in or return to independent living.
Since 1982, Inter-Faith Housing Alliance (IFHA) has provided food, housing and supportive services to families in crisis in Montgomery County. IFHA provides programs that are designed to provide families with the tools they need to become financially stable and self-sufficient - and thus lift families out of poverty and break the cycle of homelessness. Our community food pantry in Abington serves on average 100 residents per month. In 2013, over 1,100 requests for food were filled. IFHA operates an emergency shelter program for families experiencing homelessness which in 2013 served 41 individuals or 12 families consisting of 14 parents and 27 children. IFHA also provides safe, affordable rental apartments in Hope Gardens, the transitional housing program which housed 46 individuals or 15 families consisting of 15 parents and 31 children. The demand for our services is growing, particularly as families with children are increasingly the largest sector of the homeless population. Volunteers are a vital part of the success of our programs.
We'll work with your schedule.
