Become a Ombudsman Volunteer and help us uphold the rights of residents across our county.

Did you know that 60% of seniors living in care facilities NEVER have visitors? Volunteer Ombudsman are resident advocates who visit seniors in care facilities (Nursing Homes and Personal Care Homes) in Armstrong County. As a volunteer, you are not just a friendly visitor, but someone who ensures that the resident's rights are being upheld.

Your initial training is provided by the Pennsylvania Long-Term Care Ombudsman Office and through Aging Services. Volunteers have the opportunity to attend a variety of trainings throughout the year.

You can be their voice. Stand up for their rights. Join our team and make a difference starting today.
