Looking for a way to get in shape after the holidays?
Every week before our mailing we sort through hundreds of book donations, keeping what we can, need, and letting the others go to a better place, Half Price books.
Do you have a car? And would you be willing to stop by on a Sunday between 1 and 3pm to take a load to Half Price and return the money to the bookstore sometime throughout the week?
All funds that we make from books selling goes directly back into postage costs.

About Women's Prison Book Project
Location:
c/o Arise Bookstore, 2441 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55405, US
Mission Statement
The Women's Prison Book Project is an all-volunteer organization that provides free books to women in prison around the U.S. We recognize that the U.S. has the highest incarceration rate in the world, that women are the fastest growing prison population, and that women of color are disproportionately represented in the prison system. We attempt to raise awareness of these issues, and create a way for women on the outside to provide support for women in the inside.
Description
The Women's Prison Book Project is a group of volunteers organizing to provide women in prison with free reading materials covering a wide range of topics. We meet every Sunday at Arise Bookstore to sort book donations and package books for women in prison. We also hold educational events through out the year, are available for speaking engagements, and have various fundraisers to pay for postage costs.
