Day Out With Thomas(tm) 2018 is rapidly approaching. Event dates are Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 25, 26, 27. Morning shifts run from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Afternoon shifts run from 12:45 p.m. to 6 p.m. Second shift must remain on duty until 6 p.m. We are in need of over 120 volunteers each day.
Volunteers are needed for storytelling, applying temporary tattoos, assist Sir Topham Hatt and the photographer; organize play tables in the Imagination Station; stocking the the gift tent, grounds assistants, parking attendants, and much, much more.
Day Out With Thomas(tm) is held at the south end of the parking area at Boston Mills Ski Resort, 7100 Riverview Road, on the corner of Riverview and Boston Mills Roads in Peninsula. All volunteers will report to the gift tent at their assigned times. Lunch vouchers will be provided to all volunteers. Volunteers who schedule two or more shifts will receive a DOWT t-shirt.

Description
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad provides transportation to and within Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) under a joint operating agreement and is dedicated to the preservation of passenger rail transportation in Cuyahoga Valley and along the historic Ohio & Erie Canalway. CVSR is a private sector, not-for-profit 501 c (3) volunteer supported organization. More than 200,000 people annually ride the rails of CVSR, supported by 100,000 volunteer hours. Scenic train excursions are offered twelve months of the year, along with a variety of special events, including dinner trains, wine-tasting and beer tasting excursions, canvas and wine evenings, family events, and more.
