Interested in the European Union or international events? Get to know us firsthand by volunteering at the annual European Union Embassies' Open House on Saturday, May 14, 2016, anytime from 8:45AM- 4PM. Morning and afternoon shifts available.
We are looking for professionals and university students interested in EU or international affairs. Volunteers help direct visitors to participating embassies from Open House bus stops along Embassy Row and other downtown locations, answer visitor questions about the EU and the event, act as EU guides on shuttle buses. Speaking points will be provided. All volunteers receive a t-shirt and an EU certificate of appreciation from our Ambassador. Great networking opportunity!

Mission Statement
The EU is represented in the United States by the Washington, DC Delegation of the European Union, which works in close coordination with the Embassies and Consulates of the 28 EU Member States.
Description
The Delegation of the EU in the US is a full-fledged diplomatic mission and represent the European Union in dealings with the U.S. government in areas that are part of the EU’s remit.
We promote EU policies in the United States, which includes presenting and explaining EU actions to the U.S. Administration and Congress.
