FRIENDLY VISITOR PROGRAM
Volunteers are matched with homebound elders for 1 hour weekly social visits. Friendly Visitors alleviate the isolation and loneliness many elders experience and can provide much needed respite for family caregivers.

Friendly Visitors are asked to make a minimum 6 month commitment.

After an initial 1 hr. training/orientation by South Shore Elder Services staff, volunteers receive ongoing support and supervision with occasional enrichment training.

MONEY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
Volunteers help elders with bill paying and budgeting tasks. The volunteer commits to 2-4 hours a month helping the elder in their home.

Money Managers are asked to make a 1 year commitment.

Volunteers participate in a 3 hour initial training with ongoing enrichment opportunities available by South Shore Elder Services staff.
