ADVOCAP Head Start Classroom Volunteers assist children age three to five with a variety of learning experiences in the classroom including playing games, reading stories, and social and emotional development. Volunteers may choose hours from a flexible schedule. The goal of Head Start is to prepare three to five year old children to be successful in school and in all of life's experiences.
Interested candidates must be age 55 years and over and enjoy sharing their time and experience with children. An application and a background check are part of the registration process to begin this rewarding volunteer opportunity.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for individuals age 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers choose when, where and how long they would like to serve at schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while they serve. There is a pre-service orientation, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
We'll work with your schedule.
