Seeking people for various volunteer opportunities:

Volunteer Coordination - Are you detail-oriented and love working with a wide variety of people. We’re looking for someone to help coordinate service needs with the right volunteers.

Drivers - Do you have your own, insured vehicle and are willing to drive those we serve to appointments and on errands?

Outreach - Are you good at telling the world what Cornerstone is doing for the community? It could involve written Press Releases, photography , videography and expanding into the world of Social Media.

Experienced Grants Writers - Committed people with sensitivity to the needs of our less fortunate brothers and sisters. We are in need of a team of writers to seek funds to sustain current programs, and capital for new projects.

Office Volunteers--Help set up and keep current agency files.

Mission Statement

The Cornerstone Foundation is a faith based non-profit with a mission to keep all people safe, fed, housed and clothed. We provide help to the community with a soup kitchen, two shelters, a food pantry, clothing bank, youth/outreach center and many vital annual initiatives.

Description

Our Community Soup Kitchen provides a dignified environment in which we serve over 40,000 meals each year. The Clothing BankEtc. distributes clothes free of charge. The Food Cupboard provides food for almost 200,000 meals per year- The Community Center provides recreational, social, educational and motivational activities and opportunities to the residents of Rockville/Vernon and the greater tri-town area. The Cornerstone Homeless Shelters provide over 5,000 "bed nights" each year. There is never any cost for any of Cornerstones services.
