We're looking for a volunteer to assist our Helpline Manager with information referrals, follow ups calls, and care consultation information recording. Volunteers will mail and email information to clients, enter data into our database, and return calls to clients. Training will be provided on procedures to follow up with families. This position is great for a retired professional looking to utilize their skills/expertise.
Required Skills
Social Worker degree or experience OR Psychologist Professional and/or experience
Administrative skills including computer, MS Office
Excellent communication skills, personable demeanor
Able to learn and use of custom database a bonus!
Commitment:
2 hours per week for at least a year

Description
The National Capital Area Chapter is affiliated with the national Alzheimer's Association, headquarted in Chicago. We serve persons with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, their families, caregivers,professionals and communities in Northern Virginia, suburban Maryland and Washington, DC through support, counseling information, referrals, education, advocacy and research.
