NATURAL BORN LEADER? We need as many House Captains as we can get for the Rebuilding Together workdays in 2021!
The House Captain is one of the most important participants in our program. They are the central working figure at each site, and are in charge of many tasks: House Captains decide on the work to be accomplished a their chosen site, plan for and purchase necessary materials, determine the number of volunteers needed for the job, and direct volunteers on workdays. The position requires about 40 hours of volunteer time, starting with project preparation, material selection, and the workday itself.

- House Captains should prepare to spend about 40 hours per project, from project assessment, material coordination, and overseeing skill and non-skilled volunteers, including on the workday.
- House Captains don't need to be skill trades people, but it helps to have familiarity with what goes into a home repair or facility repair project. If you are a skilled project manager, and know how to manage people and resources, you can do this.
