Beauty, Hair & Nail Artists Wanted May 9 th & 10th!
We have a very exciting volunteer opportunity on at HANAC JVL Senior Center in Astoria for a Mother's Day week event.
We are seeking volunteers to donate their time to give the Senior Citizen members, makeovers, nail treatments and hair styling. Brand representatives, cosmetology students and active and retired professionals are welcome to volunteer at this event!
On May 10th will be having a festive meal and entertainment. Between around 150 senior citizens are anticipated a little over half that number will be Mothers & Grandmothers! Press will be invited and a photographer will take photos of seniors who participate in the makeover event will be onsite.
Times are from 1-3 pm or 9am-1pm, we will work with your schedule

HANAC, Inc. - originally founded by George Douris as the Hellenic American Neighborhood Action Committee - is a New York City-based multi-faceted social services organization with administrative offices at 27-40 Hoyt Avenue S in Astoria and fiscal office at 1250 Broadway in New York City. The organization was founded in 1972 to serve the needs of vulnerable populations throughout New York City.
