If you have a marketable skill that you can teach someone, or experience that will help an individual become a better child care provider, or just want an opportunity to contribute your skills and talents, please consider joiining a volunteer team to South Africa.
Email for details, and availability of teams to join. The nutshell is that A World Aware, inc. (AWA) recruits volunteers to help in designed projects in South AFrica. This means raising your own support and travel expense funds, as well as funds to cover your project. Average cost is $4000.00 for about 2.5 week excursion. This is inclusive of air fare, meals, lodging, and ground transport in South Africa.

Description
AWA seeks to recruit individuals to serve in communities as short term and long term volunteers to assist the less fortunate of the world. This is solely for benevolent purposes, and could include feeding projects, well drilling projects, construction projects etc. Some examples:
- Feeding the utterly poor
- Providing storage facilities to stockpile goods when possible.
- Providing materials and labor to erect facilities to serve large groups and communities in need.
- Providing educational materials for children and adults.
- Providing educational facilities.
- Providing food preparation and serving facilities.
- Providing training seminars to teachers of children and those trying to increase their job market potential.
- Providing resources to enable people to continue to serve people in their sphere of influence.
- AWA is working with community leaders, churches, businesses and government organizations to analyze and implement solutions to the challenges of health, education, and well being.
