The Victim Services Unit with the Westminster Police Department is seeking a Volunteer to provide administrative assistance with the Fast Track Domestic Violence Program at the Municipal Court. Work will be done primarily in the court Victim Services office and involve data entry, phone calls to inform of court dates, maintain resource database, assist with file management and archiving. This is a fast moving office with friendly staff and exposure to emotional and sensitive cases. This is a great opportunity to utilize your organization skills and creativity in a criminal justice setting. Looking for someone that can provide 10 hours a week of office support, this office is not open of Fridays.

Must be organized with computer skills in Excel and Word, you will be trained on internal data management systems. Calm demeanor and interpersonal skills are necessary, including ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner. Must be able to work well with members of the community, law enforcement officers, City Prosecutors Office and other victim advocates. Must have reliable transportation, proof of current automobile insurance and have a phone available where you can be reached. Must be willing to complete a required 40 hour training, submit to a background investigation and voice stress analyzer examination. Drug use (including marijuana) within the last three years will be grounds for elimination.
