Our Chaplains have a combined 30+ years of hospice experience. Our commitment is to mentor a Chaplain Volunteer in the Tree of Life Volunteer Program in many ways such as:

Assessing the patient and/or caregiver’s spiritual status

Companioning a patient/caregiver’s spiritual journey as s/he defines it

Expanding the Chaplain Volunteer’s understanding of bereavement, dying and death

Advanced educational opportunities and training

Providing the Chaplain Volunteer with a choice of personal spiritual self-assessment tools

Companioning the Chaplain Volunteer in personal spiritual practices

Providing real world experience in the hospice setting through visiting and calling patients/caregivers, shadowing staff, attending Interdisciplinary Team meetings

Hospice Plus visits patients and caregivers throughout the Houston Metropolitan area including Conroe, Galveston, Sugar Land, Richmond and Rosenberg.
