The Seattle Public Library's Talk Time Program provides immigrants and refugees with opportunities to practice conversational English in a social setting. Volunteer facilitators work as a team to plan and facilitate small group discussions on a variety of topics.
Talk Time sessions are offered at the Beacon Hill Branch (Saturday, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.), Central Library (Monday, 5:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. and Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.) and Lake City Branch (Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.). Volunteer facilitators are asked to commit two hours per week for at least six months. Please contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator at email@example.com for information about volunteer openings.
