The Talk Time Program provides immigrants and refugees with opportunities to practice conversational English in a social setting. Volunteers collaborate to plan and facilitate small group discussions at the following Library locations:
Beacon Hill Branch, 2821 Beacon Avenue South
Volunteer Shift: Saturday, 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Central Library, 1000 4th Avenue
Volunteer Shift: Wednesday, 1:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Lake City Branch, 12501 28th Avenue NE
Volunteer Shift: Tuesday, 5:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Facilitators are asked to volunteer for at least six months. Please contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator at volunteer@spl.org for information about volunteer openings.
