Lamp Community needs volunteers to help serve dinner for individuals living in our interim housing facilities from either 4:30-6:30 (527 Crocker St.) or 5:30-6:30 (1920 W. 3rd. St.) at least once a week. This location is a shelter for the most vulnerable homeless Down Town. Coming to serve a meal is more than simply feeding someone dinner, it is showing that you care.

About The People Concern (formerly OPCC and Lamp Community)
Location:
1453 16th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404, US
Mission Statement
The People Concern believes no one should have to live on the street or in a violent household. Our staff, volunteers and those we serve work together to address the effects of homelessness, poverty, mental and physical illness, abuse and addiction. Our programs empower the most vulnerable among us to improve their quality of life - housed, healthy and safe - and become active participants in the community. We also work to educate the broader community and improve public policy.
Description
The People Concern empowers the most vulnerable among us to rebuild their lives. As one of Los Angeles County’s largest social services agencies, we provide a fully integrated system of care - including mental and medical health care, substance abuse services, and housing - tailored to the unique needs of homeless individuals, survivors of domestic violence, challenged youth, and others who have nowhere else to turn.
