Coaches Needed

Just be yourself - we provide everything else!

Not only do you have what it takes to make a difference in the lives on girls in your community, but you will also receive the tools and training necessary to help girls recognize that their power and potential are limitless.

Coaches do NOT have to be runners! We serve girls in grades 3-8 in York, Chester, and Lancaster County. Our teams meet twice a week for 90-minutes each day. This spring, in response to COVID-19, we are working with local businesses, churches, parks, and community centers, to have community-based teams. If schools will allow after school clubs and outside volunteers again, we will have teams that meet immediately after/at school. Teams will have between 6-12 girls and new policies are in place to protect our coaches and girls against contagious disease.

Our season begins Monday February 22, 2021 and ends on May 1, 2021. Each individual team will meet at various times depending on host site and coach availability. Once those days/times have been determined, they will remain consistent for the entire 8-week season.

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event.
