Be a superhero - teach a child to read

Do you love to read? Do you want to change the life of a child? If so, Phoenix Family's volunteer Reading Coach could be the perfect opportunity for you! Our volunteer Reading Coaches work one-on-one with children who are struggling to learn to read, helping them to build their confidence and to catch up with their reading. The reading sessions are relaxed and fun and by working together, you can help give a child the vital skills they need to read, grow, and succeed.

Our Reading Labs take place within the low-income housing communities we serve. Reading Coach shifts run between 4:30pm-6:30pm Mondays and Thursdays.

Can’t make it for the full two hours? No worries - whether you can come for an hour or two, your help is greatly needed and appreciated!

To apply, send us an email (volunteer@phoenixfamily.org) or fill out an application online: http://www.phoenixfamily.org/HIKE/volunteer-application.html
