DEADLINE TO APPLY IS: May 1, 2015. Based in the Bronx Zoo Education Department, Discovery Guides are seasonal volunteers (16 and older) who receive training in customer service and basic interpretation. Discovery Guides focus on a select group of visitor experience and, in turn, gain experience with teaching, leadership, public speaking, and learn about animals and the wild places they inhabit! If interested, Discovery Guides who successfully complete the program will be eligible to join Friends of the Zoo, the docent organization of the Bronx Zoo.

Description

Friends of the Zoo is the volunteer arm of the Education Department at the Bronx Zoo Wildlife Park. Our mandate is to educate the general public that comes to the Zoo.
