Friends of the Edenvale Library Quarterly Book Sale Activity: Volunteer opportunities are Tuesday - Sunday, April 24 - 29, 2018. Includes: Book Sorting, Set-up, Book Sale, and Pack-up. << SCROLL DOWN for details of each activity.>>
Friends of the Edenvale Library is an all volunteer organization, with the sole purpose of raising funds for library programs; through the sale of donated books & media.
TUES., April 24th, 3 - 6:00 PM: Book sorting of recent donations & boxing for Saturday's book sale.
WED., April 25th, 3 - 6 PM: Book sorting of recent donations & set up of the back-room area for efficient movement of books to the sales area during the sale. Sign making, as needed.
THURS., April 26th, 3 - 7 PM: Initial set up of book sale format in the community room & staging the book sale area.
FRI., April 27th, 3 - 6 PM: Book sorting of "last minute" donations & prep for Saturday morning set-up. Final staging of book sale area. (3 Hour Min.)
SAT., April 28th, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM: At 8:30 AM, we’ll concentrate on getting our outside signs set & with final set up of the book sale areas. At 10 AM, the book sale begins. During the sale, we'll keep the sale tables replenished & neat, take turns at the Cashier table. The book sale ends at 3 PM. The last half hour will be putting away signs, and book sale materials, along with some preparation for Sunday's pack-up.
SUN, April 29th, 10 AM - 1 PM: After a brief orientation, we'll be packing up books by category, putting them in our storage area, taking down tables.
Volunteers must provide a signed "One Time Volunteer" form. (Parent/Guardian signature required for volunteers under 18.) Respond to this to schedule & to receive the form by Email, so you can print, complete, and bring with you for your volunteer activity. A single form covers the activities between April 24th & 29th.

Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
