We are looking for Board members with or without Board experience. However, YOU are savvy, love community involvement, are willing to learn, love events and fundraisers, and want to make a difference.
WE are Kids & Families Together ---a not-for-profit support, education and counseling resource center that provides services for individuals and families in foster care, kinship care and adoption, for the preservation of families and the physical, emotional and mental health of children.
Our Mission is to strengthen relationships by providing safe, supportive help that keeps family members emotionally connected to one another.
Children who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, loss, grief and multiple placements often need extraordinary care, understanding, and "attachment-focused" therapeutic interventions. Parents/caregivers need specialized education, support, and strategies that will enhance their ability to raise safe, healthy and nurtured children.Will you help us help our Ventura County community?

Description
In addition to our counseling services, Kids & Families Together offers a supportive resource center where individuals, families and community members can meet and share information and concerns. Foster care, kinship care and adoption are more than legal arrangements; they are life-long processes made in the heart and soul.
Kids & Families Together continually seeks out innovative programs to meet the needs of our community. Some of the services Kids & Families Together offers include:
- Pre & Post Adoption Counseling
- Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy
- Foster Parent Mentoring and Support, Education and Training
- Clinical Case Management for Foster and Kinship Families
- Kids & Families Together Newsletter with useful information on local and national resources
