At Homestead Hospice we recognize our Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. Volunteers visit our patients for added companionship and emotional support. Some visits consist of simply sitting beside the hospice patient and listening to stories or maybe they just need to talk about concerns they have. Some patients enjoy the volunteer reading to them while others enjoy watching a good movie with the volunteer. Whether its reading, talking or watching a movie the single most important thing that is happening during a visit from the hospice volunteer is the heart felt compassion from they're presence.
Please consider becoming a Homestead hospice Volunteer. Orientation is free...doesn't take long and will be scheduled to fit what time is best for you.

Hospice care focuses on comfort and quality of life, rather than a cure.
