Would you like to support an elder in West Seattle and make a new friend?
The Senior Center’s Westside Friends (WSF) program matches caring volunteers with West Seattle elders in need of companionship. Volunteers may make a friendly visit, help with projects, take walks, or drive to the store or an appointment. Our WSF volunteers often create lasting relationships with their senior friends.
Hours are flexible.

Mission Statement
The Senior Center of West Seattle strives to promote independence and life enjoyment by providing access to medical / legal services, community housing resources, lifelong learning opportunities and social events to keep seniors engaged in our community. We offer meaningful opportunities to volunteers interested in promoting independence in the lives of seniors while engaging them within the West Seattle community. By partnering with our staff, volunteers help to provide the essential daily functioning of the activities, classes, events, and social programs that keep our Senior Center thriving.
Description
We offer a wide variety of activities to enjoy like yoga, computer classes, painting, bridge, line dancing, and more. Our chef serves nutritious meals daily. And in our Cafe, seniors can have fresh baked cookies with their coffee, while meeting with friends and making new ones.
