The volunteer opportunity is with the Office of Community Affairs at the City of Orlando. Requirements: · Must be of 18 years of age and over · Must pass criminal background check · Must be able to attend volunteer orientation/training · Work a minimum of 2 hours a week · Must coordinate own transportation to and from City Hall and community centers The Garden is an after-school program, with twice-a-month sessions. Sessions run between 3:30pm - 5:30pm during week. Garden Caretakers will help maintain an outdoor garden plot by providing supplemental weekly upkeep (water, weed, prune, etc) between sessions. You will update the volunteer coordinator on the state of the garden, supplies, and tools needed weekly. Training and support provided by Orlando Cares staff.

ORLANDO CARES created volunteer opportunities that impact educational outcomes and contribute to the well-being of our community.
Orlando Cares volunteers must be 18 years or older to volunteer, fill out a City of Orlando volunteer application, and attend a one-hour training session to be scheduled with a Volunteer Coordinator.
