COMPASSIONATE CARE HOSPICE NEEDS VOLUNTEERS. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE - If you are 16 years or older - why not become a patient volunteer. We are a small hospice organization looking for volunteers to serve in either Broomfield, Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette or North Denver area. If you are able to read to a patient, hold a hand, comb someboday's hair, or just listen, our patients need you. We also need volunteers to provide respite care for family members who need a break . Training is provided. Please call if you would like to hear more about getting involved. We look forward to hearing from you.

Description
Compassionate Hospice Care is looking for dedicated volunteers who desire to provide companionship and comfort to those receiving hospice care and offer tangible support to those caring for them.
No experience is necessary. Volunteers are provided with an interesting and practical orientation. Essential characteristics of an effective volunteer include compassion, dependability, trustworthiness, patience and flexibility.
If you have recently experienced the death of a loved one, you may serve administratively in our office but need to wait 13 months post your loss to serve as a companion to patients.
