The Alvin Family Community Center is looking for vounteers to teach adult classes in the following topic areas: genealogy, jewelry making, video productiion, photography, culinary classes, and gardening. The classes will be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays and could be from 1 - 3 hours sessions. We want to expose our students to a vast array of interests that they can learn about and expand their horizons. Our goal is to have many classes scheduled prior to May or even into the fall of next year. If you are interested, please call Bel Sanchez at 281-968-7133.

The philosophy of CIS is based on the idea of keeping students in school by directly addressing all of the problems and concerns that cause the child not to do well in school or consider dropping out. CIS’s comprehensive programs provides students with the opportunity to overcome obstacles thus making it easier for them to stay in school, successfully learn, and prepare for life.
