Volunteering in Action
Daniella preparing oatmeal for breakfast service.

Help gather unopened jars of peanut butter and jelly (or jam or preserves) for the St. Francis Living Room and make a difference today! You will help supply the pantry of our breakfast program from which we annually serve 17,000 nutritious meals to low income and homeless seniors. Coordinate a Food Drive in your schools and/or workplace to collect jars and donate them to our program that is so important in the lives of many San Francisco seniors. These donations help stretch our limited fiscal resources, in addition to brightening the mornings of the people we serve. Help make seniors' weekdays more tasty! We prefer creamy peanut butter as it is easier for seniors to eat. For more information or to schedule drop-off of jars collected, please contact Jonathan Lowell at 415-946-1413 or For more information about the organization, please visit our website at
