Norfolk County RSVP Volunteer Program is part of the national Senior Corps, sponsored locally by the Norfolk County Commissioners.

Quincy Community Actions Programs (QCAP) is dedicated to "helping people help themselves." They engage in their community through countless initiatives to build strong bonds and show compassion. QCAP is looking for volunteers to fill the following opportunities at their food pantry:

Friendly Shopper: assists food pantry clientele in food item selection. Requires good interpersonal skills, empathy for diverse populations and an ability to commit to at least 6 months of service. Help needed Mondays and Thursdays from 1-4pm.

Packing Bags: pre-packing refrigerated and frozen items to be provided to food pantry clientele. Thursday mornings (possibly other days as well).

Data Entry: volunteers are trained on how to use simple online application to track and update client activity. Monday - Thursday (AM or PM).

This opportunity is only available to adults 55 and older that live in Norfolk County

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
