FONP is currently seeking an intern for the Fall 2014 semester. The intern will assit in event planning, help to garner donations, coordinate volunteers, write speeches, and subsequently submerge themselves in public speaking, writing press releases and contacting media sources, putting together video packages, updating social media, helping in writing the newsletter, assisting in the spring mailing, etc. This ia an unpaid internship that requires approximately 10 to 12 hours per week. Hours can be used toward class credits. The intern must have their own computer to work off of while at FONP. Description

THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO INCREASE THE PUBLIC'S UNDERSTANDING OF HOMELESSNESS AND THE WORKING POOR BY WORKING WITH OTHER VOLUNTARY AGENCIES TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR PEOPLE AND THEIR ASSOCIATED PROBLEMS. THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A SOUP KITCHEN IN BUFFALO, NEW YORK, WHICH PROVIDES HOT MEALS, CLOTHING, MEDICAL CARE, ASSISTANCE AND SOCIAL SERVICE REFERRALS FOR THE HOMELESS AND WORKING POOR.
