Wellness Studio Healthy Cooking Volunteer

ORGANIZATION: Full Life Care

Solstice Behavorial Health Care is looking for some energetic and creative volunteers who can help us lead exercise groups such as dance, yoga, zumba, and tai chi. In addition we are searching for volunteers who may enjoy leading small indoor gardening groups, neighborhood walking groups, or small group cooking projects.

We are currently seeking a volunteer to lead cooking class. The whole "wellness studio" group (12-15 people) eats the meal that is prepared. This volunteer needs to get a food handlers permit (which we would pay for). We are flexible on whether or not the volunteer comes up with the menu (with our guidance) or not, and whether or not they get groceries (which we pay for). 10:30-1 is the minimum time commitment, and we would prefer someone who will be able to come weekly, but twice a month is helpful too.

The Wellness Studio only occurs on Thursdays from 10am to 2pm. Volunteers must be available during those hours.

Our participants/clients are adults of all ages with mental health diagnoses ranging from depression to anxiety to schizophrenia and bi polar disorder.
