The Department of Volunteer Services of Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center is expanding our program known as Colors of Healing. Amateur and professional artists share their passion for art and creativity as they venture into patients' rooms and produce artwork inspired by the experiences of each individual patient. The program aims to use art to help achieve specific goals by helping patients forget about their illnesses, pain and the hospital environment, and focus on scenes that evoke pleasant memories.
Prospective volunteers must be proficient in drawing, painting, sculpting or digital art.
We want to encourage talented and willing artists to share their passion for art by joining our Volunteer Team and becoming part of Colors of Healing.
