The Department of Volunteer Services of Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center is expanding our program known as Colors of Healing. Amateur and professional artists venture into patients' rooms and share their passion for art and creativity. Artists produce artwork inspired by the experiences of each individual patient. The Colors of Healing program aims to use art to help enhance recovery and clinical outcomes as well as achieve specific goals by helping patients forget about their illness, pain and the hospital environment by creating scenes and color illustrations that evoke pleasant memories.
Prospective volunteers must be proficient in drawing, painting, sculpting or digital art.
We want to encourage talented and willing artists to share their passion for art by joining our Volunteer Team and becoming part of Colors of Healing.
