Norfolk County RSVP Volunteer Program is part of the national Senior Corps, sponsored locally by the Norfolk County Commissioners.

The South Shore Elder Services Meals on Wheels Program is committed to providing nutritious meals to homebound elders. The program delivers over 1,200 nutritious meals to homebound elders each week (Mondays - Fridays). They have immediate volunteer opportunities in the following towns: Milton, Randolph, Quincy, Braintree and Weymouth.

Current volunteer opportunities include:

Meals on Wheels drivers- Volunteers are needed for 1 to 5 days a week, midmornings, 1-2 hours a day. A valid MA driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Initial training is required, with additional enrichment opportunities offered. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Meals on Wheels Kitchen Assistant: Kitchen assistants help to bag lunches and count out meals for pick up by Meals on Wheels drivers at local meal sites. They also may help serve Congregate meals. Volunteers are needed for 1-2 hours on weekday mornings from 8am - 10am.
