During these uncertain times, how can we help?

At Boys Hope Girls Hope of San Francisco, our goal is to graduate young people who are physically, emotionally and academically prepared for post-secondary education and a productive life, breaking the cycle of poverty. BHGH of San Francisco utilizes the following elements to achieve our mission:
Boys Hope Girls Hope firmly believes that children have the power to overcome adversity, realize their potential, and help transform our world. Children create these successes when we remove obstacles, support and believe in them, and provide environments and opportunities that build on their strengths.
We are seeking volunteers who are interested in working closely with our young scholars and supporting their academic success! As a tutor, you will work with our scholars to help them complete homework, prepare for exams, develop good study habits, etc.
For our program, we are seeking tutors who are local to San Francisco, can make a weekly commitment and are available between 3pm - 6pm (the time will vary depending on the scholar you work with). We are also only hosting online tutoring sessions due to COVID and an online meeting with our volunteer coordinator is first required before working one on one with our students.
Take the first step in volunteering with us at and contact our Scholar Success Manger Kevin at crcsf@bhghscholar.org!

Boys Hope Girls Hope Academy San Francisco Bay Area helps academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing after-school academic support and tutoring, service learning, career exploration, and college-related literacy, tuition assistance and financial support.
We need volunteer groups to help come in and lead career panels for our students (7th-12th graders). Along our Scholar Success Manager, your group will facilitate and organize a group discussion and presentation helping to expand the horizons of different career fields that our students can envision themselves in the future!
