The general purpose of the Cat Socializer Volunteer is to work with our animals to keep them happy, healthy and well-socialized during their stay AHS. Our Cat Socializers help by spending time snuggling, playing with, brushing, and petting cats and kittens. Cat volunteers may also assist with the cleaning and upkeep of the cat habitats to ensure a pleasant environment for our kitties.

Serving our community since 1952, the Austin Humane Society (AHS) is the longest standing no-kill shelter in Austin. Over the past year, AHS has unleashed hope for over 11,000 animals thanks to the generosity of our donors.
