F.A.C.E.S is seeking dedicated volunteers to fill the role of a Mentor. As a Mentor you will build a relationship full of trust to support and provide your mentee with the skills needed to succeed in society.
Mentor Duties/Responsibilities:
* Responsible for meeting with the assigned mentee for the agreed upon time frame (i.e., often weekly meetings for at least one year)
* Act as a resource and guide
* Serve as an example/role model
* Accept and relate to youth who may not share the volunteer’s lifestyle and values
* Respect the mentee’s right to self-determination and independence
Mentor Requirements/Qualifications:
* Willing spirit
* Openness to cultural differences
* Good listening skills
* Patience
* Sense of humor
* Commitment
All mentors will be subject to a background check.

F.A.C.E.S. is a dynamic not-for-profit organization devoted to inspiring and supporting less fortunate youth to a better future by providing them with the opportunity to control their own destiny.
Our programs are designed to assist youth in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful as they explore their options and make the transition to functioning young adults.

We have learned that the availability of these services can often mean the difference between success and failure for underprivileged youth. These unique programs are dedicated to ensuring the success of each participant through mentoring and a wide network of support.
F.A.C.E.S. is committed to raising awareness regarding the plight of disadvantaged youth and children in foster care, and the urgent and sustaining needs of these children and young adults.
