Whew! Caregiving can be exhausting for our families. Staying with their loved one around the clock is a lot of work! Sometimes we are actually able to convince them to take time for themselves! Thats where YOU come in! We have families in KCMO, Blue Springs and Independence that just need a short break during the day, once a week!
If you have 2 - 4 hours one time a week or even once a month to give, PLEASE considering being a Respite volunteer!
By visiting the patients home during the daytime hours, our family members are able to : Go to the beauty shop, buy groceries, go to the bank, have lunch with a friend, or even catch up on much needed sleep!
