ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's San Diego

Volunteer Support Group leaders actively lead a group of people who know, love, or care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia. Leaders are responsible for providing a space and a time forpeople to meet others and share issues related to Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia.

Lead a Caregiver Support Group and make a difference in a caregiver’s life today! In this role, you will help provide much-needed emotional support, coping skills, education, and resources to caregivers. We are looking for new leaders for our virtual La Mesa meetings that run from 9:30-11:30am and our virtual Chula Vista meetings that run from 1:00-2:30pm. Both are on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. If you have professional or personal knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease, or if you have been a caregiver for a loved one with Alzheimer’s, you may be qualified to help others by leading a Caregiver Support Group.

Length of Commitment: Volunteer Support Group leaders are asked to give a minimum of 12 months commitment.

  • 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    The support group runs from 9:30-11:30am
