ORGANIZATION: Tasveer

We are looking for a grantwriter for Tasveer, a South Asian Film & Art organization.

  • researching, identifying grant opportunities,
  • prepare proposals and grant applications,

Qualified candidates must posses good writing and computer skills, (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and preferably some donor management software).

The candidate must be highly organized with the ability to implement systems, follow up, work under pressure, use independent judgment and produce a quality work product under tight time constraints.

Previous experience with a proven track record in securing new funding opportunities is a plus.

Description

Our objective is to bring awareness to the local community about the rich cultural heritage of South Asia by providing alternative and thought-provoking films, performance, programs, and workshops that are independently produced.

Description of activities: TASVEER, "picture" in Hindi/Urdu, is a community-based organization that is committed to bringing independent progressive films from South Asia and the South Asian Diaspora to the Pacific Northwest. We show independent films, political documentaries, narrative art films from South Asia - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tibet.
