The Women Songwriters Hall of Fame is hosting its 2nd Annual Award Ceremony.

On Saturday August 27, WSHOF will be honoring women who have changed the face of the music industry through their songwriting.

30 - 40 volunteers are needed in various shifts for

  • Setup
  • Take Down
  • Registration
  • Honorees
  • Ushers
  • Seat Fillers
The attire for the event is formal - Women can wear gowns, pantsuits, hats, etc. Men can wear tux, suits, shirt and slacks. Dress Color: Black

Every volunteer will receive volunteer badges and be able to watch the program when done duties for the day and as needed. You will also receive swag bags and light refreshments.

Thrive DC works to prevent and end homelessness by providing vulnerable individuals with a comprehensive range of services to help stabilize their lives. Thrive DC envisions a city in which the community unites to ensure that vulnerable individuals have the necessary support and resources to lead fulfilling and stable lives free of homelessness.

Description

Thrive DC is an independent 5013 nonprofit organization, who has been serving the DC community since 1979. Thrive DC offers breakfast and dinner to more than 250 homeless and poor men, women, and children each day. Thrive DC also gives immediate crisis assistance, acts as an outreach site for partner agencies, and provides information, referral, and emergency social services. Thrive DC also provides intensive employment training designed to help individuals transition out of homelessness and develop the skills needed to live independently.
