There are many residents in long-term care facilities that do not get regular visitors. The Volunteer Ombudsman advocate for residents by talking with residents to communicate concerns, providing information about residents' rights, listening, supporting and empowering residents. We work with your schedule, location, and provide training. Volunteer with Catawba Area Agency on Aging Volunteer Ombudsman Program to address isolation and loneliness often experienced by residents living in long-term care facilities, especially residents without family. Help make a difference in someone's quality of life!

Description
Catawba Area Agency on Aging (AAA) serves Chester, Lancaster, Union and York Counties in South Carolina. Our role is to plan, coordinate and advocate for long-term care residents' rights and for the development of community services to meet the needs of older adults.
As the focal point on aging for the Catawba region, our goal is to help seniors and their caregivers make informed decisions about aging well. Catawba AAA is a private, not-for-profit organization that devotes all of its time to aging issues.
