Come join the fun as we get a great workout, enjoy time with family and friends, learn about nature around creeks, and restore our precious Wolf Creek all at the same time!
We remove invasive non-native plants such as scotch broom, ivy, and blackberry and plant native plants. In early spring we work in conjunction with the Fire Safe Council's Scotch Broom Challenge; in September we work with the South Yuba River Citizens League's (SYRCL's) River Clean Up Day; and throughout the year we work to restore a State Park meadow with the State Parks Environmental Scientist. We have adopted two locations: an Empire Mine State Park meadow area on Bennett St; and a Wolf Rd site off Hwy. #49 near Higgins Corners. We can already see the difference we've made in both of these locations!
Mark your calendar for the (usually)3rd or 4th Saturdays, 9am-12noon in the months of January, February, March, April, May, September, and October, (no work parties in June, July, August, November, or December). Invite your family and friends to join you; and sign up to receive emails with details. We're hoping to see you soon!
