Build meaningful relationships, get involved in your community, make a difference!
If you can dedicate 2 hours a week, you can help make a difference in a student's academic growth. We are looking for flexible volunteers who can go with the flow of a high-energy community setting.
We need ASP volunteers at the following times starting the week of September 16 at our Carrot Way Community Center from 3:30-5:30 PM (address: 31 Carrot Way), and at our Pauline Community Center from 4-6 PM (address: 1500 Pauline Blvd).
Most of Avalon youth have experienced multiple instances of homelessness already. The majority are also from single-parent households, with the parent having a challenging mental or physical disability. As part of our commitment to providing stable housing and improving the quality of life for our residents, we provide a safe, familiar environment for kids to engage in activities that promote academic and social development. That's where you come in!!
Please follow this link to fill out our volunteer application and be notified when our upcoming orientations will be: avalonhousingvolunteers.applicantpro.com/jobs/1120430
We hope you can join us this fall!
